Decision Efficiency
Making the numbers something you can trust.
Connecting the systems you already pay for, cleaning up the data underneath them, and building the reporting your team runs the business on.
Who this is for.
Companies past the scrappy stage, usually somewhere between 20 and 250 people. You have an ERP or accounting system, a CRM or a TMS, and a few spreadsheets quietly doing load-bearing work that nobody wants to think about.
Two systems disagree about revenue and nobody's sure which one is right. Leadership keeps asking for a report that doesn't exist. Month-end takes a week because the numbers have to be pulled together by hand.
What's included.
Reporting and KPIs
Board packs, operational dashboards and the weekly numbers your team actually runs on. Built once, and built to change when the business does.
Integrations
Getting your systems to pass data to each other automatically, instead of somebody exporting a CSV every Monday and pasting it into a workbook.
A Single Source of Truth
One place the numbers live, so when two systems disagree there's an answer rather than an argument. Usually a proper database, sometimes something simpler.
Special Projects
System evaluations, migrations, pricing tools and financial models. The work that keeps sliding to next quarter because nobody senior has time to own it end to end.
How it works.
- 01
Discovery
What's broken now, what you want to be able to see, and where the business is heading. Today's problem and tomorrow's direction are usually different, and both matter.
- 02
Plan
How we'd attack it, in writing: scope, approach, timeline. If the work touches daily operations we talk to the people who live in those details first, because they decide whether it sticks.
- 03
Build
Defined scope, fixed fee, a real end date. Projects usually run four to twelve weeks, and you see it working before it's finished.
- 04
Stay
Reporting needs to evolve, systems need maintaining, and there's usually another project on the list. Month to month, no lock-in.
Foundation First. Scale Second.
Reporting, processes and AI are each only as good as the data they run on. Garbage in, garbage out. Fix the foundation once and everything built on top of it gets better: reports people trust, processes without workarounds, and automation that doesn't just make mistakes faster.
How it's priced
Projects are scoped and fixed-fee. Most clients move onto a month-to-month retainer afterward, because the reporting keeps evolving and there's usually a next project waiting.
Questions people ask.
Are you a dev shop?
No. A dev shop takes a ticket and builds what the ticket says. We take the business problem, work out what should actually get built, and then build it. Sometimes the answer is much smaller than what you came in asking for.
Do we need to replace our systems?
Usually not, and we'll tell you if you do. Most of the time the systems are fine and the connections between them are the problem. Replacing a platform is expensive and disruptive, so it's the last option rather than the first.
What industries have you done this in?
Logistics and transportation, equipment financing, wholesale distribution, mortgage capital markets, commercial real estate lending, and software. The industries look nothing alike and the underlying problems are nearly identical.
Who actually uses what you build?
Your operators, which is why we talk to them during planning. A system that works but doesn't match how the business really runs gets quietly abandoned, and the team goes back to spreadsheets.
